March 28th Bird Walk at Shawangunk Grasslands

This grassland habitat hosts a winter population of short eared owls almost every year. At the tail end of winter we hope to get lucky with a late wintering bird and maybe some spring arrivals.

Important Information:

- Hikes last between 1.5-3 hours depending on the location of the hike and speed of the group

- Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian

- All hikers will be asked to sign a waiver

What to Bring:

- Binoculars are recommended, however we will have some pairs to share if needed

- Supportive walking shoes, head cover, and appropriate clothing for the weather

- Snacks for yourself (we do not feed the birds)
