Join Putnam Valley Commission for Conservation of the Environment in collaboration with Putnam Highlands Audubon Society for a special Earth Week bird walk at Putnam Valley Town Park on April 26th, at 7am. Earth Week lines up perfectly with peak bird migration in the Hudson Valley, as millions of birds are passing through the region on their way north to breeding grounds. Bird song ramps up and colorful plumage returns to the trees. Join experienced naturalist and educator, Pete Salmansohn, for this easy walk through the winds and wetland habitat where there will be a chance to see a diversity of birds from sparrows, to warblers, to raptors.
