June 14th Bird Walk - Fahnestock State Park & Glynwood Farm
Saturday June 14th at Fahnestock State Park - 6:30am-9:00am
Join us at the Big Woods Parking Lot in Fahnestock State Park. From here there are several public trails that branch off. We will venture on the yellow trail that hugs Glynwood Farm in search of grassland species nesting in this unique habitat the farm creates. Species such as bobolink or savannah sparrows may be seen. The woodlands bordering the fields can be home to a variety of different songbird species. The middle of June is peak breeding season for our local nesting species and we should expect to hear and see a good variety!
