April 2022 Bird Walk West Point Foundry Cove

We assembled in the early morning at the parking lot located at West Point Foundry Preserve in Cold Spring. From there we walked t trails of the birding hotspot known as ‘Foundry Cove’. Late April is perfect timing for the return of some neotropical migrants to our area, which bring great color and loud song. The marshland and forested habitat of Foundry Cove, located along the Hudson River, can be great for a variety of migrating birds.
