Saturday, March 13 – 9:00 am– Constitution Marsh Audubon Center and Sanctuary
Monthly Bird Walk at Constitution Marsh
Meet at the Constitution Marsh nature center for a birding walk at the center followed by a walk out to the boardwalk. The walk to the boardwalk includes a moderately difficult hike up and over a short rocky ridge. Leader: TBD
Sunday, March 14 – 12:00 am – Taconic Outdoor Education Center, Fahnestock State Park
Birding for Late Winter Visitors and Early Spring Migrants
We will meet at the parking lot of the Taconic Outdoor Education Center (TOEC) and walk the trails down to the duck pond in search of late winter visitors and early spring migrants. Bring binoculars. This event is planned to coincide with the TOEC’s Maple Sunday Pancake Breakfast and Sap-to-Syrup program happening from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. Leader: TBD

Birding the Shawangunk Grasslands National Wildlife Refuge
Meet at the visitor parking lot at Shawangunk NWR . For driving directions see http://www.fws.gov/northeast/shawangunk/directions.htm. We hope to see wintering grassland birds (snow bunting and horned lark), late wintering raptors (Northern Harrier), and other interesting birds to include a potential for short-eared owls.
